This is Still Here? (Musings on Living a Life of Faith)

Somehow, I always come back to this blog at some point...

I realize that most of my posts on this blog are discoveries I've made, things that I've thought through to completion (at least, what I thought was completion which they definitely aren't), but I figure I'd write about something I'm struggling with because, if anything, vulnerability hopefully breeds growth.

Salvation

So I have this class called God and Human Life. For an end-of-the-semester project, we had to write a paper on either 'salvation' or 'the nature of God.' It was due the week of finals. Luckily, our teacher gave us the option to do a project instead of a paper! I am usually against writing papers so I immediately took the project option. Usually when one says "project" I make a video... it's what I do. Buuut, there was only two weeks left before it was due and I was busy studying for upcoming finals week. So I searched for something else I could do...

A Blast from the Past

So I was searching through the old files on my computer and I found this gem. It's an autobiographical narrative paper I did for Freshman English in high school. At the time, I was quite proud of it. I love it when stories have deeper meanings or metaphors that tie things together, and I had found a way to work it into a story! You may not think it's stellar, and I agree. It isn't. I figured I'd give you something to chew on.

A Story For My Kids

"One time back in high school, Daddy spent some time being a blonde-haired, blue-eyed, Grammy-winning  female singer..." and it will go downhill from there.
